The Armed Forces Covenant promises to ensure that those who currently serve or served in the armed forces and their families are treated fairly. Our comprehensive Military Accidents Service is backed by a nationwide panel of medical experts, highly experienced in their respective fields. We guarantee your client’s military claim will be seamless from beginning to end.
Types of Military Claims Reports we provide at MLA –
At MLA, we’re able to provide the following types of claims:
Military Hearing Loss and Deafness –
We are the UK’s leading provider of Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) reports and facilitate a range of screenings, including Audiology Screening, ENT Reports and CERA Testing.
Advice will be provided on the most appropriate pathway for your client. A more detailed version of standard NIHL (Noise-Induced Hearing Loss) reports with a review of extensive Occupational Health records by an ENT Consultant can also be provided.
Military Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) –
PTSD is a psychiatric disorder that can occur after having an extremely stressful and upsetting experience.
Those in the armed forces have an increased likelihood of being exposed to such conditions, leaving them vulnerable to the disorder.
Sufferers may have headaches, migraines and fatigue; nightmares and flashbacks; and depression and anxiety.
Our dedicated team will arrange for your client to be examined by an experienced Psychiatrist who will gather a detailed report on your client’s condition.
Non-Freezing Cold Injuries (NFCI) –
Non-Freezing Cold Injury develops after sustained exposure to cold temperatures between 0 and 15°C and is often combined with wet conditions, leading to tissue cooling but not freezing.
As a result, those affected will feel a persistent sensory disturbance of the hands and feet, including numbness, paraesthesia and chronic pain.
To obtain compensation from the Ministry of Defence, we will arrange for your client to be examined by an experienced Vascular Surgeon who will complete a detailed report on your client’s condition.
Compartment Syndrome –
Compartment Syndrome occurs when muscle tissue, nerves, and blood vessels within the compartments swell and expand while the fascia separating the compartments does not.
The pressure within the compartment grows until it exceeds the pressure in the veins, meaning the blood cannot flow properly and oxygen cannot get to the muscles or nerves.
Acute Compartment Syndrome usually occurs after severe injury, whilst Chronic Compartment Syndrome can be caused by heavy and prolonged exercise, making this one of the reasons it is more commonly seen in the military environment than in any other.
We will arrange for your client to be examined by an experienced Vascular Surgeon who will complete a detailed report on your client’s condition.
