2019 has been another incredible year for MLA - from achieving Tier 1 MedCo status to being a finalist at the Personal Injury Awards - it truly has been a year of celebrations. As we get ready to ring in the New Year, we’re taking a look back at the past 12 months and everything we’ve achieved in 2019.
Becoming a Tier 1 Medical Reporting Organisation
As one of the longest established medical reporting agencies, we’re also proud to say we’re the first original Tier 2 MRO to be re-categorised as a Tier 1 agency since the inception of the MedCo portal in April 2015. To achieve Tier 1 status, we had to meet a set of exacting requirements that showcased our dedication to providing a faultless service, including holding ISO 27001 certification, the ability to comply with MedCo’s SLAs, and to have been trading for a minimum of two years. However, for much of the criteria, we actually exceed the requirements! Read more.
Modern Insurance magazine meets MLA
In July, Modern Insurance magazine featured a double-page interview with our very own Michael Shallcross, Head of Operations, who spoke about MLA’s future growth plans, why the team at MLA is so special and how MLA operated to all the Tier 1 MedCo agency requirements, despite still being categorised as a Tier 2 at the time. In this interview, Mike outlined MLA’s number one objective to become a Tier 1 MedCo agency - and just two months later, this ambition was realised.
Proud sole sponsors of the APIL Military Claims Conference
The APIL Military Claims Conference is held by APIL, a not-for-profit organisation that has been fighting for the rights of injured people for over 25 years. We were honoured to be the sole sponsors of the event, as well as attend talks on the day - and we also had the opportunity to network with other industry professionals. It was an incredible opportunity to share experiences and delve deeper into topics such as Non-Freezing Cold Injuries, the Q Fever Litigation and the Broughton House Veteran Care Village.
Celebrating MLA at the PI Awards
Following our re-categorisation as a Tier 1 MedCo agency, we were thrilled to be finalists for ‘Medicolegal Provider of the Year’ at the Personal Injury Awards 2019. It was a truly magical evening full of laughs, celebrations and champagne! Although we didn’t win on the night, we were nonetheless honoured to be in a room filled with other like-minded professionals, all who have a real passion for delivering excellence within the industry.
As the UK’s leading ID and NIHL provider, we continue to grow and improve every year. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff for their hard work, and our clients and customers for choosing us as their dedicated medical reporting partner. We look forward to continue delivering medical reporting the best way we know how - the MLA way.
