“An Employer Recognition Silver Scheme Award recognises the fantastic efforts of employers throughout the UK who have both elevated their commitments under the Armed Forces Covenant and provided actual benefit to the Armed Forces Community. The winners should all be proud of the life changing impact and opportunities they are providing.”
We’re delighted to announce that MLA has been recognised by the Ministry of Defence with an ERS silver award for our work with veterans and ex-service people.
We’ve been congratulated for our work ensuring service personnel and the armed forces community are treated fairly, our ongoing support for the armed forces, and the benefits and policies we offer to our employees.
What is the Employer Recognition Scheme?

The ERS, or Employer Recognition Scheme is a national award designed to recognise those companies who pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to the defence and armed forces community, and who align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
Companies like MLA.
We’re not settling for silver next year
While it’s great to have earned a silver award at our first attempt, we’re not settling for that next year. Our MD Mike Shallcross explains:
“We believe strongly that the people who support our country deserve our support in turn. That’s something we strive to do here at MLA, and something we’re committing to for 2025 and beyond. We’re hoping to build on our hard work and aim for a gold award next year.”
We’re proud to support those who serve, and we’ll continue to do so for years to come.
