Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all relevant Sales/Purchase invoices are processed within the month.
• Responsible for posting monthly journals, owning the Trial Balance, ensuring control accounts are reconciled and management accounts prepared. (Sales postings, accrued income, overhead accruals, intercompany reconciliation, control accounts).
• Production of monthly Management Accounts for sign off by Finance Manager
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly VAT returns.
• Preparing/reviewing monthly income and expenditure challenging if costs are within budget.
• Balance Sheet reconciliation.
• Support Finance Manager in preparing for financial audits.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• The ideal candidate should be part qualified or qualified by experience and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a busy finance department.
• Have a hands-on approach with the ability to provide support and problem solving for the wider areas of the business.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial regulations and standards.
• High Level of proficiency in financial software systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships

Benefits:

• Salary £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience.
